Merry Christmas to all of my family and friends! I love this time of year! All the family time, the gift of giving, the wrapping up of another year. I really does end the year with a bang.

But this time of year can be stressful and exhausting. Not everyone gets along with their family members and it can bring up a lot of tension. Not everyone enjoys the spirit of giving, and the shopping for or creating gifts can be frustrating. But lets just take a step back and remember to breathe. Lets use this time to find presence,  peace and awareness.

Lets take a few minutes each day to find gratitude. Even if we don’t want to go shopping or crate anything big, lets take a moment to think about those people in our life. Lets send them a little love and appreciation for being who they are to us. If each day we do a little bit of loving and gratefulness we strengthen the relationships without the huge hassle of gift giving, but it also increases your willingness and interest in finding the perfect gift for the people you love so much. Even if the perfect gift is just a hug, or an evening of visiting, or a small card… The energy of love matters so much more than the material of gifts! EVERYTIME

And if there are those people in your family that frustrate you, lets take a moment to just think about them, think about what they are going through, what they have gone through. Everyone is always doing the best they know how (even if that is not very loving). Lets find a little compassion for their situation. And just a little bit in the hear of the season find some forgiveness for their actions. Lets see if we can’t mend some fences and step out of our resentments and angers. Even if it doesn’t have the affect on the relationship we hoped it will continue to open your heart and change your life, I promise.
