The journey of a thousand lifetimes.

I recently got a new puppy.

It was one of the hardest, yet easiest, things to do.

Bringing another being into my care.

Am I going to be a good care provider? I know I can keep food and water supplied, but can be there for her mentally, emotionally, and even in times of deeper physical stress?

The funny thing is – I’ve done this before.

I don’t have to be super woman. I just have to be there.

And dogs don’t judge (and are actually pretty self sufficient) but when I bring her into my environment what kinda life am I giving her?

But almost a better question- what is she providing for me.

Puppies are nothing but love ❤️ so there is plenty of that to go around. She’s been the sweetest most innocent thing.

She’s nothing but enthusiastic joy every time she sees us. She comes over for pets and to play. But when I’m sitting in contemplation and meditation she is so quiet and peaceful.

So far so good.

Her little legs can run to keep up as I go walking. And she already comes when I call.

I’m taking her around and introducing her to the cats and the horses… this seems to be a process but it’s going very well.

She’s very happy and polite to meet them. They on the other hand are wondering what the heck I just brought home.

It’ll take time. It’ll a take time and we’ll grow together. Learn together and be there for each other.

It’s all a part of the journey of a thousand lifetimes …
