It has rained here again, and got cold enough over night to snow. It’s quite wet everywhere around here. puddles are full again, and the corrals are muddy. But the weather network is calling for a lot of sunshine in the next two weeks. I hope the long term predictions are right. All this moisture was great but now it needs to soak in and warm up for the growing season to start.
I was planning to start my coaching lessons this week as its the beginning of the month but it is too cold and wet to enjoy a lesson. So it will have to wait until next week. I have to find a few new items anyway from the tack shop. I’m hoping to talk to a shop about ordering a new saddle on Thursday. I have great things planned, now I just need the weather to cooperate. And a good credit card company to support them.
My new living quarters is cozy. It’s been an adventure getting it set up and working. The power is always an issue as the whole trailer is run off one plug. And the closest plug is over 100ft away. Not good on the power supply. My furnace quit, so I have an electric heater, until the sun comes out. But I have figured out the basics, and may just host a house warming party to show it off. I think I’ll need a warm day though because it wont hold more than 4 people comfortably. I’d hope more than 3 friends show up to entertain me.
I’ll have to get my flowers planted before I have people over, and buy a pretty little swing set to use outside. Come on spring! I’m waiting for you. Life is so much more fun in the sun.
