Sometimes this is the hardest gift to carry.

We feel things we don’t want to feel.

We understand people’s pain even when they aren’t willing to go their themselves.

As we are growing up, sensitivity is not taught or cherished as a gift.

We don’t learn how to be with it or what to do with it.

We are taught to suck it up and get over it.

That’s not the answer.

But most of us don’t know what the answer is.

One huge thing that my horses have taught me in this last year is that my sensitivity is a strength not a weakness.

And if I thought I was sensitive at a 6 on a scale of 10… they did not let me settle there. That was not the truth.

The truth for me is I’m a sensitive at a 10 on a scale of 10.

There are others out there that are also this sensitive. I’ve met a lot of them in my travels.

This makes me good at my job. This does not make me weak. My sensitivity gives me power.

All horses are sensitive to energy. Some more sensitive than others just as humans. But they have to be sensitive because they are prey animals living in the wild.

But that doesn’t make them victims. It makes them powerful.

As humans we are still learning to embrace this side of us.

We think power comes from fighting and standing up to things… and sometimes as horses shoe us that is the case. But more often than not they leave the situation first.

They won’t fight unless cornered. They use their sense of flight as their first instinct to getting back to peace in their daily lives. And to find safety in their environment they remove themselves from the dangerous situation.

Humans still have so much to learn in this regard.

I am just learning as well on how to use my sensitivity as power. And how to hold it as my greatest gift.

It’s not something I was taught. Or even understood at all. I was thrown into life in a very social way but not given any skills on how to be authentic in my family or community.

The people who I often heal and help are the people on the more sensitive side if the scale. They have a huge gift of sensitivity, compassion, empathy and caring.

And this hurts us deeply if we do not hold it in the highest form of the gift and use it wisely.

Sensitivity can cut you to the core… or it can help heal you deep in your soul.

If you are struggling with figuring out your sensitive nature I still have a few horse healing sessions left I can offer before I open my business up and launch my new classes next year. ?

Otherwise I hope you find a way to let your soul shine ?
