Surrendering isn’t an easy thing for me to do this year. But I’m doing it.

Day by day I’m relaxing into what is.

Still knowing that what will be -will be.

Still flowing in rhythm with the universe (or trying to)

And every time I feel I’m out of sync- a negative thought comes up, a crunchy feeling, a body issue that I know is related to the place of resistance – I just breathe, I pray to the universe to help me get back into a place of peace.

Sometimes I sit with the thoughts and feelings and work through them, but mostly I find a place of acceptance into the way I feel and the way it is.

Now it’s only been two weeks and PATIENCE has been my biggest learning curve.

I’ve continued to learn patience throughout my whole journey- but again I’m going deeper.

I want to jump in.
I want to do the work.
I want to plan the shit outta my life.
I want to control the situations around me.
I want to cry about why things are taking so damn long to learn and accomplish.

But then I just breathe and live the life that’s right in front of me.

Now this lesson has come up since the beginning and I’ve been practicing my patience and acceptance on so many different situations.

Can I control the weather? No, so I accept it.

Can I control the seasons? No, so I accept it.

Can I control if a moose jumps over the fence and wrecks it? No

Can I control if the power goes out and the house goes dark? Nope

Can I control another’s actions? No, so I accept it. (This has an been on-going lesson)

Can I control the majority of circumstances around me? Probably not… so I sink into a place of acceptance and just go with the flow.

But I know that if I’m ever triggered by any of these situations then it’s me that I need to change.

I settle in and do the work.

Why was I triggered? Where did this come from? What is going on in this situation that is upsetting me?

And how can I return back to peace, patience and acceptance?

And as trying as it is not to jump in and control things this has been the most eye opening experience for me.

So onward I go, and I challenge you to find a little more patience, acceptance, trust and surrender in your own life. ?
