Accept the chaos.
Everyday I try to settle into stillness.
A mind meditation, a yoga savasana.
I try to feel the peace under the chatter.
Some days it’s much easier than others.
Some days are just so miraculous, peaceful and graceful.
Some days are not.
But just because it’s easier some days does not make those days better or more right or me a terrible person for not always getting it right.
Those days happen too.
And it’s ok.
I embrace that. But I acknowledge it.
I unravel it. And bring it back to that place of peace.
The easiest way to do this is accept it….
I’ve always fancied myself a ‘fighter’ of what I felt was not right, so this makes acceptance not my go to reaction.
I think for a lot of people-defensiveness is normal.
But fighting what you don’t want will not bring you peace, just more war.
So sometimes laying down our swords is very hard to do.
But lay them down we must.
And not in defeat, but in surrender and acceptance.
Coming back to peace is the only thing that will end the war- within yourself, within your family, within your community, within your country, and around the world. ?
