I just got a profound message from my horses about respect.

Once I entered the pasture they all surrounded me.

Now normally this behaviour is desirable, to come up and acknowledge you, but once they surrounded me they started chewing on my side by side (which I took so my baby could sleep while I played)

And so of course I shewed them away and asked them to mind my space and respect my belongings.

N then I took note.

Instead of allowing beings to come to me and asking them to respect my space I push them away because I don’t know how to get that respect.

In my life it has been all or nothing. They either intrude in my space and disrespect my boundaries or, when I push too hard, they leave.

I understand there’s another way.

There’s a way to receive connection and respect.

In my life this was definitely not taught.

And from the actions and responses of a lot of the people around the world this is a global lesson to be learned.

It’s not just love or war. It’s a place of respect among people.

Among the world. Among the plants, the animals, the soil we love on, the air we breathe, the water we drink.

Respect, like love, peace and joy… starts on the inside

It’s something we must feel within ourselves so we bring it to our lives.

It can be taught though, it can be learned.

It’s something we can pass down to our children and we can bring to our families and our community.

It all starts with us.

Each of us individually might not be able to change this world, but If we all individually shift we can create a ripple that will turn this world around.

Let’s end the wars, let’s end the abuse, let’s end the trauma that humans are causing to ourselves and to this earth.

Respect is the other side of shame …

(And as this is all channeled through spirit I have no idea what that means… let me keep typing)

If we didn’t shame ourselves we would stand up for those places of insecurity.

We would move through those places of doubt, fear and shame to a place of respect for ourselves.

And once we respect ourselves we ask others to do the same.
