This is something I rarely talk about but is super important!
Even, or especially, with energy work.
Your environment is a huge part of your energy impact!
The first part is simple and clear (although not always easy)… clean and clear your physical surroundings.
Clean in the closets, clean out the spare rooms, clean up outside in the yard, the garage, the office, the car!
And even though you think you’ve gone through everything and put it neatly on the shelf and hung it in the closet…
Make a point to go through your clothes, your books, your files, your photos, your old letters etc etc. Discard anything that you don’t want or need.
I’m simplifying this. It’s a lot of work but I promise promise promise it’ll do amazing things for your mood!!!! Once your over the roller coaster of emotions.
And then use an energy clearing method and cleanse the space. Reiki, crystals, smudge, incense, open windows and doors…. let the energy shift. Step into the brand new feeling. It’s not stagnant and old anymore. It’s new and fresh.
And once your physical space is cleansed start going through things like your emails, your digital photos, your music, your contact list, your friends…
Are there people you need to reconnect with and some you need to move on from?
And last, but not least, your ‘to do’ list…
We are a society that likes to list (which is fine) but can be super overwhelming.
Make a super huge ‘to do’ list….
after my decluttering projects my list always gets bigger cause I have refreshed the energy the space and stepped into the newness of it bringing on new projects as well.
Replace the tap
Recover the chair
But new end tables
See the curtains
Print out a picture for the wall….
Write down any little things that you do not want to tolerate in your life anymore.
But then DO THEM. Or hire someone else to. Take some time and check off this list.
Little do we understand that these unfinished projects are taking up space in our mind and cluttering our head space.
Once we check off most of our ‘to do’ list our energy will again feel that much better.
How are you feeling now?
It might feel super overwhelming to think of this large project, but take the time it takes… give yourself time. If you’ve never done this before give yourself a month or two (or more).
Once you’ve done this a time or two you start to understand the process and there are less things to remove or clean the next time. It won’t take so long, I promise.
So the last thing is …. life goes on.
We accumulate more and more stuff and settle into new exciting projects.
Ever so often come back to this process.
I tend to do it about once a year… or actually I’ll do a bit with the change of every season, but once a year I’ll settle in and do a cleaning.
It doesn’t take me near as long anymore, but it still shifts the energy just the same and is so worth it
