In 2012 I started this crazy energy/spiritual healing journey. I found my first Reiki class and signed up for my very first healing sessions.
I had no idea what I was stepping into, but after the first few experiences I just knew that it worked.
And the universe continued to lead me to healers, teachers, books and sessions that were exactly right for me.
And I continued to ask for the next step and the next. Because there was no denying the power of these experiences.
Not long after taking my initial Reiki and BodyTalk classes I opened my business and started my practice.
I knew this wasn’t the end goal, it was just the beginning, but I wanted to share my practice and experiences with others who could then feel the magic I felt.
My own personal healing journey took me on many different experiences with many different teachers, healers, books, classes and sessions.
Over the last 10 years I have gained over 11 different class certifications, have purchased more than 250 books on self-healing practices, have had at least one personal healing session per month to continue to heal what was coming up for me. And I don’t say this to brag- this is just a taste of the experiences I hold.
Right now I’m sitting in reflection of the latest class I’m currently completing, Advanced Mediumship Certification.
We began this class a year ago and as it’s winding up I’m reflecting not just over the past year but the past 10 years. Because this class seems to have pulled everything I’ve been taught into one beautiful teaching – and then some.
It’s brought me full circle.
It has not made the other classes irrelevant- it has actually enhanced all the teachings I’ve ever experienced.
It’s been a huge integration process of body, emotions, mind and spirit.
It’s levelled me up again to the next level of mastery in this practice of work.
And to be truly honest, it hasn’t been an easy year. To uplevel in this way I had to move through very uncomfortable places to get here.
One of the first pieces I had to experience was not only my gift of sensitivity- but the downfalls of being a highly sensitive person.
But I slowly learned a new way of being with the energy not only within me but also without. To hold space for others and even the collective energy I feel around me.
I also come to understand, which I did know before to an extent, just how deeply the space around me affected me, my home, the land, and of course as I said the people.
I’ve been ‘decluttering’, deep cleaning and even smudging/energy cleansing my home for all these years now, but we went even further than that. We pulled out energy that has been here longer than I have, and dug deep into corners of energy spaces I didn’t know existed. And honestly I’ve never felt better in my life.
The third piece that really helped integrate everything for me was working with the Realms of Consciousness. There are 7 realms we spoke about, everything from earth to heaven, and these spiritual connections were not just outside of me. Working with each of them helped me open up and embody each of these spaces.
These different Realms integrated with my 7 chakra centres and I suddenly understood, “as within-so without” as my Master guide so generously kept repeating that message for me.
Speaking of Master Guides, this same guide who came to me in my first Reiki class was the same one present for me at this final integration mediumship class. And he showed me how he’s been my guide all along throughout my journey.
It’s been hard for me to tell because he’s so silent and not very forth coming with his messages that he seemed absent to me. Although he wasn’t and his message has been all along that the wisdom is not without, he was always directing me to look within for the answers. “As within, so without”
One day I’ll get that ![]()
And so as we wrap up this profound course I sit here in reflection. These last 10 years have been nothing but life changing.
The photo below I chose to represent my experiences holds a horse and a cow, both drinking from the same water bowl standing in reflection of each other.
To me… and this is a whole other post… this represents the within and the without, the yin and the yang, the masculine and the feminine, the reflection and integration, the light and the shadow, the two different sides of my life (a place in still sitting with) ….
It encompasses the last ten year journey of both my inner healing and the outer manifestation of what is our life. It represents the wins and the losses. The success and the hardships. It’s both the gratitude and the tears. The joy and the pain. To me it represents nothing short of a huge space of growth through trial and error. It is both the spiritual and physical brought together in a space that feels nothing short of the divine. ![]()
