It’s also been a long while since I went out and sat with my horses.
And as the message that was so clearly stated tonight to me – it’s because I’m in a deep transition period.
I’ve been off the charts productive for the last 12 months and it was time for me to step back and take in the processing of it all.
I was quite anxious about this because I’m not done all of those projects. I’m actually right in the middle of some.
But my body wouldn’t have it any other way.
During the month of august we did some visiting and traveling and once home I crashed.
And as my mind tried hard to keep me productive my body rebelled so much so it caused physical sickness and much needed rest.
It also brought out all the hidden emotions and belief systems.
Some I moved through gracefully, some not so gracefully and some I have yet to get through but I know it’s coming.
It’s a time of transition.
Or so the horses have said.
They were not worried.
And I asked them, “do you go through times of transition?”
And they said, “only when you do”
My lesson is around respect.
It’s around not having to quiet my voice for those around me just to keep the peace.
Sometimes it’s not peaceful.
And I’m ok with that.
Sometimes others will get hurt by my words and actions. – that’s their wounds
Their triggers are not my responsibility.
And as an empath -I’ve spent my lifetime catering to others triggers – or not feeling heard in my own.
But it’s changing.
Today I felt great change.
I know it’s lasting because this is the work I do.
I’ve spent years working for this very change.
Patience
Acceptance
Forgiveness
And hard inner work has paid off.
But mostly the patience. Which comes with great trust.
Sometimes the work is not ours to do but patiently trusting that others will find their way too.
I wish I had a photo of all the horses tonight but I intentionally left my phone inside as we went outside to call in the cats.
And of course in that moment miracles happened.
Transitions.
Connections.
Grace.
