Staying in a neutral, or peaceful, heart space even when things are going really well or really terrible around you.

Stepping away, rising above and healing within the places of drama and chaos in your life.

We all have some sort of drama either around us or within us. And it’s very easy to get caught up in that.

I ? percent do as well.

I am a sensitive and emotional person whom cares about everyone around me, family, friends, neighbors and community alike.

But I have since learned after burning out so many times with compassion fatigue, empath overwhelm and attachment to many others lives that I had little to no control over… I had to let go.

I also had to let go of my own expectations and attachments to many different ideas, dreams, goals, deadlines … all of it.

The photo attached is of the supper we had on my birthday. (This post has been dying to be written since then)

I woke up on my birthday just like it was any other day… July 15th is no different than any other day.

I had no expectations- zero- of what the day would bring.

To me it was just like the day before, and it was going to be just like the day after.

Don’t get me wrong I LOVE being acknowledged and celebrated. But if I’d have EXPECTED it I would have been disappointed.

I had zero expectations and so every happy birthday wish or every time someone sent an acknowledgment my way was merely a blessing.

I work very hard to try not make myself any more ‘special’ than any other being on this planet.

And I work harder yet trying to keep myself from making others more ‘special’ than me.

Stepping up and knowing my worth has sometimes been a struggle but it’s a lesson I’m willing to work on.

Over this past week and even this last 6 months I’ve noticed a huge shift for me in sitting in the space of neutrality.

Having each experience just flow through me as is… not making too much of anything or too little of it.

Being ready to take action, but yet sitting in the space of peace, awareness and gratitude.

This has been a huge lesson for me… because as I’ve said I can get pretty emotional and dramatic.

But this last 10 years of healing has really helped me step out of the drama…

My own AND the drama of others.

So I leave you with this. And hope you can find that inner place of neutrality within.

?? May peace be with you ??
