I feel like I have already made a post with this title….

But it resonates soooo much.

My Grandma has more than once compared me to her grandmother Mary Rose (Pritchard) Sayers.

And today, as I sat in session with an amazing mediumship healer, Grandma Mary came through.

I was healing both her and I.

I was undoing the wounding that has been carried on for generations.

She is my Metis grandmother that was very much a part of the Riel Rebellion story at Frog Lake.

Her father helped save two woman from the massacre that happened in 1885.

Her father, John Pritchard, and his family were captured by Big Bear and his warriors. They ran for their lives and helped save the two woman in the process.

As we recently pieced together the local history book my Grandmother wrote a story about her grandmother’s time in the Rebellion. She titled it ‘The Little Filly That Couldn’t Be Broke’

She had a spirit that, even though she’d been to hell and back, could not be broke.

She was a fighter, and so am I.

I have not endured half of what she has, but her story is my story.

Today I have helped heal both her and I. I have broken through some more of the ancestral baggage.

I’ve also undone some of the patriarchal wounding and some of the long held spiritual wounding.

My intention was always to use my horses in my healing business and help undo the wounding and baggage of the past that we still carry.

So this story, this history, this healing and having her there with me today was beyond special.

We really are little fillies that can’t be broke.

We came here with gifts, a passion and purpose.

And as much as I resonate with so many other of my ancestors and grandparents, Mary Rose has a special place in my heart.

Stay tuned for my upcoming book and the course I’m creating along side of it….

My horses, my ancestors and spirit are all helping me write and create these beautiful pieces of wisdom and truth.
