Potty training is not one of those things I thought I’d be talking about but hey, why not 
I’ve been pondering something lately.
Do we ask things to happen or just go with the flow and allow them to unfold?
Honestly, I think it’s a bit of both…
But I’m most inclined to decide, just know they will happen and get it done when it’s time to do so.
What I’m talking about is trust.
I just knew that potty training needed to happen ‘one day’ I didn’t plan it. I waited for the timing and then just went with the flow. (Even though I had no idea what I was doing)
I know this kid isn’t going to be in diapers his whole life – so between the toddler and child stages he needed to learn to use the toilet. Sometime between 18 months and 3ish years…
And I just waited.
And today we are going with the flow.….
It’s going to be messy.
There’s going to be an awkward beginning stage, a weird middle stage and eventually a time when he knows how to use the potty on his own.
That day is not going to be today lol.
But today we begin and he’s curious and doing well so far. it’s only been 2 hours and we’ve been to the toilet 4 times already.
So where in your life do you need to surrender, find a little trust and go with the flow ?
