I’ve heard many many coaches and teachers give the advice of just jumping right in and not having to ‘be ready’
Too many.
And there’s many reasons why we may not be choosing what we want.
Procrastinating?
Fear?
Lack of knowledge or experience?
And I get what they are saying.
And I know why
So we have to evaluate WHY we aren’t choosing to do what we say we want to be doing.….
Because In my experience a lot of the reason we aren’t doing it is BECAUSE WE ARE NOT READY.
The problem may not be CHOOSING what we want but what do we have to do to get ready?
What needs to happen before what happens happens?
That’s a loaded question.
But ten years later …. I can honestly tell you I planned to create these courses ten years ago.
I brainstormed, I wrote content, I took photos for the covers and inside. I was on a mission.
Procrastinating
Or fear never even crossed my mind.
What was true for me though was I HAD TO GET READY.
I had to learn, I had to experience, I had to grow, I had to create and shift my life first.
THEN I was ready.
THEN they just FLOWED out of me.
Then they were authentic and not forced content.
They were true to my heart.
And my best piece of advice for anyone is GET READY.
Set yourself up for success.
I didn’t just sit around and wait for it. I worked for it, in more ways than one.
But mostly through experiences and personal growth.
So if you are just waiting around for something (well, there’s a place for that too) if there’s something you want but don’t yet have – get yourself ready to receive it, to experience it, to live it, to allow it into your life.
But what’s the ultimate advice? Get ready.
What’s the worst advice I’ve received from coaches and teachers?
That I didn’t have to be ready to start.
Oh I started, that’s why I was there at the class or session.
And I jumped right in, but don’t be afraid to take your time and do what needs to be done. You’ll always do better in the long run! I promise
