We have been blessed with numerous gorgeous rainbows this year. This is just one of them I thought you might enjoy as I did from the tractor and haybine. That’s right it’s haying season, and it’s in full swing. A lot of things are getting accomplished around here. One day I was driving a haybine, the next a discbine. I guess plugging the haybine the first day was a blessing in disguise. Unplugging the haybine I’m sure was Dad’s biggest pet peeve. I however thought it was a good work out for my arm muscles.
If you ask me I think a Roxy-sized hay-swather would be the way to go. You can see whats going in the front, and it just drops out the back behind you in a nice little swath. If you do have difficulties you can just lift up the reel in the front, clean off the canvases, and then grab your cell phone and dial 1-800-dad-I-broke-it-again.
Speaking of broke, our lawn mower also got replaced. Our temperamental mower wouldn’t start when asked, and now won’t start at all. So Mom picked up a new one yesterday, watch out lawn… Momma’s on a roll….
Our tack shop is also getting a face lift. It’s being de-shingled and they are replacing them with tin. And our non-existing front door is getting rebuild. It’ll be great to finally have a working door on that shop and be able to keep the livestock out… if birds and cats are considered livestock… around here they are. Worth every penny of stolen food they eat.
My make shift arena is also coming along. As soon as I cut the grass down I can start using it. It’ll be perfect for a lesson area for this summer, and a practice arena to work in. Rain got her hooves trimmed and they have never looked better. My filing and toe nail trimming just isn’t up to par. I hope this helps out her right lead problem, because if not that means I better keep looking for the solution.
The count down is still on…. 4 days until I see Troy and 5 days until I grace you with my daily photography talents. I’m so very excited. I’ll try to stay creative! Enjoy…
