Well, I’m no expert on this subject because I am just learning it… learning how to act upon it. A lot of these ‘lessons’ are common knowledge, but who really applies them with a clear heart? A lot of us really TRY to understand, and a lot of us succeed to a large extent, but in all honesty are we fully honest with our own TRUTH?
So, this morning I had this HUGE ‘ah ha’ moment… I keep wanting, and I am left wanting. But also, I am asked to be and do to fulfill others needs as well.
A lot of us perceive love as a thing you must get from the outer world. You must find it in the people you know, the places you are, and the things and activities you do. The ego keeps telling us this is where we will find happy, in STUFF! I thought and acted like this for the longest time! It left me so unfulfilled and empty. I did not know there was another way, a better way.
The other way being to fill yourself up with self love, fill yourself up so completely that you over flow with love and allow everyone and everything around you to be touched and affected by your heart. So in other words, GIVE your love, instead of taking love from everyone else.
Now don’t get me wrong, receiving is also a huge part of this. Receiving the love and light and truth from full consciousness; from the Universal Love in everyone and everything! A completely different concept from NEEDING the love from those around you.
Back to my “Ah Ha” moment. This morning I found myself wanting, and felt myself lacking from others. Of course it is ALWAYS easier to see the truth from the spectator seat! So immediately I said to myself, “Why don’t they just give more of what they want and they will receive it back!” AH HA! EXACTLY! DUH
I’ve heard that before! AND it works! It works! Give what you want and you will receive more of it. If you want more friendliness, be friendly. If you want more honesty, be honest. If you want more trust, trust yourself! If you want more love, GIVE more love….
What a concept! I better blog about this. I better tell the world! I better call my friends and tell them what they are doing wrong! PRONTO! …..
And then it hit me… SHIT are you telling me that I HAVE TO DO MORE OF WHAT I WANT TO HAVE MORE OF WHAT I WANT? …. but, well, um, no, I don’t think I can, I don’t know how, no really you don’t understand, it’s just not in me, I never learned that one, but, but, but…. um no.
Well, Roxy, mark this one down as another one in the books! And I will now go forth and work on understanding how to GIVE more of what I WANT… but just so you all know this is a universal lesson and I am here to let you know that it’ll work for you too!
