About Roxanne
I was raised on a farm around horses and animals from the age of 6. I loved horses and always wondered what my passion for horses was all about. I rode horses on our farm, working the cows, and also just enjoying being in their presence. Staying true to my heart, I began learning everything I could about horsemanship. It was on this journey that my horses and my life led me into the healing practices in 2011, when I began studying holistic healing with horses (and all animals really). As I continued my studies in the healing modalities for humans, I knew I could apply these same concepts to horses as well.
When I began my business in 2012 I knew that this business was going to be about helping people heal with the aid of horses. When I completed my Equine Guided Facilitation in 2019 – these two aspects came together powerfully for me. Horses are so spiritual, so powerful, so knowledgeable, and so willing to participate. They are full of truth and wisdom if we are just willing to receive and listen to their guidance. I love facilitating equine sessions and witnessing people shift their experiences and perspectives here at our Rafter TR Ranch, which Troy Bohn and I started in 2011. We began with a dream of operating our own ranch with about 100 cows, which has quickly grown to a dream of 400 cows, a couple horses and a dog… which fast forward to today – we now have 200 cows, a few more horses, a dog, a few cats and some chickens. It truly is a perfect place to heal, surrounded by nature and our animals.
