I just finished reading an amazing book: Riding Between the Worlds by Linda Kahanov. I read the Tao of Equus last summer and I couldn’t put it down. I took it with me camping, in the tractor, I followed dad around in trucks and that book went with me everywhere. It was recommended and borrowed to me by a friend and she was right, it definitely opened my eyes to a whole other world. So this winter I bought the sequel and I just finished reading through it. Again, I just kept going back to read it because I just had to know the next story, or what else she talked of in this book.
Linda Kohanov runs the Epona Center in Tuscan, Arizona and she does amazing work helping people unleash their feelings, their emotions, let go of their past and find their true voice and their own spirit using the horse as instant communication and to help lead the humans to understanding. This book gave me extra determination that there is someone out there who will understand and be drawn to what it is that I’m here to learn and to teach. Horses are great healing tools and connect us instantly with our own spirit, our own energy and the healing energy of nature around us. They teach us how to connect with our emotions and help us release what it is that we are holding onto.
All of us have a connection and a relationship with ourselves, and with everything in the world around us. This is something I am passionate about helping people understand and to teach them how to better develop the skills they already have within themselves so they can feel more balanced, trusting, and authentic.
This has been the lesson that I have been learning in my life, one experience at a time, and this is what I am trying to put into some kind of process for clients. For me it has been a crazy messy journey. But it has been enlightening, I will always continue my journey of learning this. I know I can help encourage others and hold their hand and hold the space for others learning. I’d love to lend my horses for others journeys and love to facilitate the journeys with their own horses.
Every experience is growth for all of us and I have been welcoming so many of those experiences into my life these days and all its done is shown me that there is SO much more out there! I can not wait for my program to be finished and revealed to the world but until then, enjoy the spring weather and let me know if you need any riding or healing done in your lives. I always look forward to connecting with you. So until next time, stay inspired!
