I just did a course called “heritage Interpreter” or recently changed to “introduction to Storytelling”

It was offered to me through Tourism Saskatchewan because I’m part of a larger course to create a retreat experience here at the farm for healing with the horses.

And at that course I created a presentation to tell MY story. My WHY. My reason for finding healing with horses and creating this experience for others.

My story is all about ancestral healing.

Healing generational trauma.

Doing the work and the research about my past and why I am the way I am.

Healing my Metis culture and all the trauma that went with that.

Even though I was not part of that trauma it still is passed down through the family lineage.

I still feel it. I still experienced it. It’s still happening.

That’s what reconciliation is all about.

That’s the point.

And what I just experienced in a Metis Facebook group proves just this point.

As people start to find their culture, step into their truth, heal the lost stories, understand the history of their families and the country’s past… please be kind.

All of our stories are different, but essentially all the same.

Let’s step out of anger and into compassion, treat each other with kindness and love each other through ?
