I had a minor ‘ah ha’ moment the other day. I was in a situation which normally I would have been mad. The old me would and should have been very upset. I spent time and money to get things in place, organized, and ready to go forth. This was my big moment! I made specific plans and one after another they fell apart.

It would be comparable to the feeling of being SO excited about a school dance which turned out to SUCK, or a first date that had NO SPARK, or not getting accepted into THE PERFECT secondary school. You make up your own scenario, that’s how heart-breaking it should have been.

But… it wasn’t. It was just an, “oh well,” and all was forgotten and forgiven. I just knew it was OK. I knew that it would work out exactly how it is supposed to. I knew these people did nothing to hurt me personally, so I did not take it personally. And I knew that being mad was really going to do nothing except hurt me … so for the first time ever I sent out love.

It was the weirdest thing ever. I released my feelings of disappointment, I saw where they needed more support and I sent them love. I felt all these loving feelings wash over me and send it out to them. There was no reason to be mad because I trusted the universe. I was patient, I was forgiving, and I was knowing that it was all going to be OK.

This is the feeling of forgiveness. To release your fears, your hurts, and your disappointments, and just let go. To not blame others, nor to criticize, or to condemn, to not take it personally, and understand it for what it is! To see the truth of the situation, not just your egos skewed perception. The story which paints you as the victim and them as the guilty party. That’s not the truth

Once you can see that TRUTH. Then its easy to forgive them and move on. To continue to be happy and to go forth. You will be living in LOVE and not in fear and guilt. So next time you see yourself as the victim, step back, see the truth and let go of the hate and blame. Use the fun little tool of FORGIVENESS!
