Honestly I don’t even know what to say lol.
But I felt like it was a moment to be noted.
It was spiritual.
To be honest I don’t normally harvest the garden…
I seed the flowers and the garden in the spring, i love playing in the fresh dirt, I love spring.
Then I pull the weeds, while Troy waters and he harvests the food.… because he likes food and wants to prepare it in his certain ways.
I’m usually concerned more with my flowers than I am the garden. (Although with two little spring babies even that’s taken a back seat)
Flowers don’t need to be harvested so I do a little fall yard clean up n that’s it.
But this year EVERYTHING is out of sorts lol.
While I was healing from my c-section and unable to seed the garden with two littles in tow and only half the strength Troy ended up seeding it for us.
And now with him off in the fields harvesting (like he always does) he hasn’t had time to even look at the garden this fall so here I am with the not so-so littles anymore pulling in the harvest (honestly I’d rather be in the tractor, swather, combine or baler… but here we are)
And I do love our garden and I don’t want all that hard work and energy to go to waste and maybe it was just what I needed today.
There’s at least one more day out there because I haven’t dug the potatoes yet

As you saw we also got our new chickens this fall rather than last spring – like I said everything is off this year.
But it’s a year of NEW things so for that I am grateful.
