Oh March, how I despise you! What a MONTH! And what a turn of events. March was definitely a month to remember..or forget! On the second I fell down the patio steps outside on my way to my car. I really hurt my back and after I stumbled my way back into the house I phoned Mom for some back up support. She came to care for Anha while I was laid up on the couch.

Now I’ve taken tumbles before and its just one of those things where you relax awhile then you jump up and are on your way again. Not this time. After a bit of quality couch time I tried to get up off the couch and it hurt more than ever! If you’ve ever hurt your back before you know you use your back for EVERYTHING. You move your arm… and use your back, you wiggle your toes and guaranteed your back will move too! So after attempting to get off the couch and not succeeding Mom called the hospital. They sent out an ambulance and they carried me to the emergency room on their stretcher.

A few hours later, a million X-rays later and one DR explanation I walked out of there slower than a granny with her walker. Nothing was broken or affected, I just had to give the right ‘flank’ muscle time to heal. And to make matters worse- it didn’t even scratch or bruise… not a war wound to speak of.

Fast forward ten days…. and I was laying on the massage table of heaven. Ten days later I was moving around fine and could do most everything I could do before, but there was still a tightness I had to get worked out. So one massage visit later I was actually standing straight and feeling like a normal person again. Of course in ten days, that gave me enough time to plan out the rest of my life… Anha got a new babysitter and I was free to start with my own plans.

Sunday the 13th I traveled to GP and here I am now… 3 weeks later and its one more sleep until I go back home. Of course it is March, and just because the calender said it was the first day of spring, the weather did not agree. In Grande Prairie they got over 5 feet of snow this winter and its still piled up over 3 feet in some areas. It snowed more days than not while I was here, but just as perfectly the sun is now shining to send me home and its melting like it is spring as it goes into April.

While I was here we did a little spring cleaning and made a few discoveries in the process… like the tulips I bought last Valentines… growing in the basement. Or the old reminisce of youthful stuff. Or the old reminisce of the old yellow blender than doesn’t quite blend anymore. Everything got cleaned in and out, and altogether I would say we removed about 2 truck loads of garbage out of the house. What a load off of everything. Now to just get everything organized…

Of course we can’t forget the SHOPPING I did while on VACATION. In preparation for this summer… of course. Horse tack, show apparel, gardening seeds, sweaters, shorts, shoes, undergarments, hats, dresses, suitcases, and of course the day of scouring the city for the perfect blender. We had many outings of every sort to keep things busy, because if my shopping wasn’t enough fun enough it kept my days busy, and my mind off the snow that was STILL piling up outside.

Of course the reason I go through all of this is because I never took one picture during all this time so I have no daily photos for all of March. However, in Roxy fashion I am doing a ‘March’ photo shoot and those 31 photos should be posted later today…. I hope you enjoy them and now that I am better and the weather is more spring-ish I will try and continue on with my photo blog as per usual… And lets all put March behind us starting now…
