I honestly don’t know how life could get much better than this!
It has been raining and storming lately, but you don’t get a rainbow with out a little rain. So now I’m just sitting on the front porch watching the flowers and the grass grow.
Yesterday, I went back to Alberta and picked up my mare from the breeder. My clinic in Red Deer was cancelled so I just made a day of it and went to get her. I am so glad she is back home, I sure did miss her. Now fingers crossed that she is in foal! I am so looking forward to having a little baby again.
Step-by-step projects are getting accomplished around here, rain or shine. We built the pen out front of the house for the horses and moved them there, into the grass up to their belly’s! So far I have not heard them complain ;). Now, I have been measuring out my arena getting ready to build that up as well and looking for a new spot for my round pen … because we decided we needed a gate to the horses right where the round pen was… And if it wasn’t for all of our gorgeous rolling hills, this decision wouldn’t be so difficult.
We welcomed in the first day of summer and celebrated the longest day of the year this past weekend. Meaning that now is the time to get all the riding in you can! I have started lessons here and have talked to a handful more ladies who are also interested in riding as well! I absolutely love how this group just keeps growing! And keep your eyes and ears open… there are new ideas in the works! A few of them! …its boring to just stay the same.
Anyone interested in joining us on our riding nights is more than welcome! Send me a message and let me know! Or anyone wanting more information about my Equine Empowerment program I am more than happy to talk to you about that too!
