Our bodies are just manifestations of our souls.
They are molecules and atoms and energy pieced together by our spiritual energy.
What I mean by that is… if you feel anger, you hold that energy in your body and it starts to manifest in a way that is showing up for you to change.
If you hold fear, you hold it in your mind, emotions but also within your body. Your cells feel your feelings and start to create a body that mirrors that.
If you hold shame or resentment- it’s hiding in your physical body UNTIL you choose to let it go, shift it, change it, create a new story around it.
I say this to you, but I am no exception, every single thing I have held onto emotionally or mentally has manifested in my body (or in my life!) as a way of mirroring back to me those places where I need to shift or change.
We are the creators of our lives. And as the saying goes:
As within, so without.
I just sat in meditation to help ease my physical pain.
It’s just a minor cramp in my hip joint that has been persistently coming up.
I have done everything I know if to ease the pain, and thought of every excuse of why it started…
The extra weight of the baby is putting pressure on it, the way I am sleeping is not helping, I’m not eating properly and it’s aggravating the joint, more water, more exercise … what kind of pain relievers can I safely use?
Guess what, nothing helped…. even if it eased the pain for awhile or momentarily, it always cane back because I was not addressing the underlying cause.
It’s not always clear at first what it is, we might have to dig around a little bit to get clear on what the underlying cause is, but if we look hard enough it’s there.
Even if we have to peel it back in layers.
I look at those places as places of darkness we need to shine the light on, or sometimes as places of tension (contraction) we need to find a release or expansion on.
In a healthy body our cells are free to move about and have lots of space and energy to dance. They recreate new healthy cells and the old ones get washed away.
In an unhealthy body these cells are tight, tense and have to work really hard to try and stay healthy. They don’t create new healthy cells and the energy feels slow, and ‘stuck’.
Now I’m not a scientist- but these are the basic principles of how our body physically reacts to our thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
It really is a whole energetic system of health we are dealing with.
So just out of curiosity, pull out your journals and take notes/inventory of where you are holding tension or pain in your body.
If your super curious take note of other places in life where things just don’t seem to be flowing or they aren’t how you’d like them to be.
Then sit with it – what are you feeling around this? What are your beliefs around this? What are your thoughts and expectations?
Are things feeling good to you? Are they flowing? Or are they stuck and feel painful?
Get honest with yourself here. This is where transformation begins
