Just Another Day in Paradise

Well I tried to upload pictures from my phone but that didn’t go over well. Its more complicated than I think. Or I’m over complicating it and its not working. Really its just a case of pushing the wrong buttons… Isn’t that always the case?
So here’s my blog for June. So many good things. My mare is off at the breeders. Exciting. Except now she’s not here to play with. On our way to Alberta I found out I passed level one of the Parelli program. So now I’m so excited to get going on level two skills. I still have Storm to play with here.
Our riding lessons were slowly getting worse. Where it was just a huge fight between Rain and I, and this led to bigger bits and spurs. This is not what I’m comfortable with. So I went in search of new information. Of course where did I find it? In the parelli info. I looked to them for info on leads and lead changes and it came in the knowledge of balance. Of course if I’m not balanced then how could she be? And if we both aren’t balanced how could we do it properly? But why am I unbalanced? Well because I couldn’t possibly sit my butt in the saddle while holding the reins so tightly. Hopefully this problem will resolve itself now and Rain and I can become balanced and excellent partners.
I can’t believe its almost July! Where did the time go? Its summer, its poured rain, its warm and gorgeous, the calves are branded and cows are on pasture, all the summer events have started and soon it’ll be haying season. So many things to do. I doubt they’ll all get accomplished and there’ll be a list left over to try to fit in next summer. Don’t you hate it when your ambition is bigger than your time frame. My brain is full of projects I’d like to do. Maybe in the next 50 years they’ll get accomplished. 🙂
