Letting go of worry and expectations.
Let’s talk about the weather.
I grew up on a farm, we discussed the weather, daily.
I mostly heard about it when I went with my dad to ‘coffee row,’ all the farmers sat around talking about the weather.
Now I’m not really a small talk kinda girl.
So one day when I spent hours and hours in the tractor with my own thought I thought to myself, “why would you spend your day worrying about the weather? There’s nothing you can do about it”
I watch the weather, I appreciate the weather, and I roll with it.
It just is what it is.
You can’t change it.
And the less and less I sit around thinking about what I’d rather see (more sun, more rain) the more and more I’m becoming connected to the truth of the weather.
What I mean by this is when everyone was so worried about the lack of moisture this spring I didn’t worry at all.
I trusted. I knew rain was coming.
I felt it.
I asked the weather.
For the past few winters I know if they are going to be harsh or not.
I know if the summers are going to be sunny or rainy.
I just know.
Because I don’t let my own thoughts get in the way.
I don’t have any expectations or any judgements towards it.
It really just is what it is.
We can’t change the weather.
We can’t change many things about our lives.
there’s so much we need to just let go of, our judgements and expectations.
Infact anywhere you have judgements or expectations is a place to let go of them.
There’s many places I still struggle with this too.
I’m always doing my work.
But I’m also here as a guide to help you on this journey too.
I promise once you release those judgements life get pretty friggen beautiful
