We are born into the exact right family, with the exact right mother/father and circumstances for our soul’s growth.

Nothing is a mistake.

Not the good, or the bad …

… Continuing on from my last two posts about my ancestral healing journey I wanted to start here….

Understanding that the universe did not make a mistake when he created each and every one of us.

God himself did not make a mistake with you- or me.

I was born into this perfectly messy family to help my soul’s growth and learn the important lessons that were hand picked just for me, by me.

Understanding this, deeply embodying this wisdom, takes the blame off of anyone else and puts the responsibility solely on you and your experiences.

Owning this responsibility is the first thing that needs to be done.

Blaming anyone else for our experiences is disempowering and will not lead you to the path of healing.

Being willing to take the responsibility for our life, for our choices, for our circumstances is the only empowering way.

I started at the beginning.

I had to go back and own my part in my childhood.

I had to go back and find understanding in why things went the way they did.

I had to look deep within and uncover emotions I didn’t know how to process as a child.

As an adult I had to step up and heal my wounded self.

It was no one else’s fault but mine that I felt the way I did, that I acted the way I did, that I thought the thoughts I thought and responded the way I did.

Even if things happened in the past – they can still be forgiven … in fact they need to be to move forward with a clean slate (but that will be another post)

The easiest way to step up and own this responsibility is to understand everything happens for a reason.

We may have experienced some AWFUL things. But they are here to help us grow and learn and become our best selves.

And to understand everyone’s innocence. Everyone is just doing the best they could at the time with the beliefs and information they have (including you) … even if it’s absolutely terrible some of the things they have done to you or you unto them.

They all deserve forgiveness,

And so do you.

If you are willing to let go, to release any piece of hurt you are holding onto, then this is step one.

Owning that responsibility.
