Otherwise it’s just a task we do lol. (Not to be taken for granted either )
I sat down and made a list of my accomplishments tonight.
At first I was just putting the big things on there.
The ones I was impressed with.
College degrees. Etc.
But then I started thinking about it differently.
N I added graduated high school.
So I kept going.
N added learned to write, learned to read, learned to walk, talk.
Now I didn’t get tooo carried away, but having a 6 month old in the house makes you see just how much we learn if we just try things out.
And they struggle.
We don’t learn to walk without falling.
We don’t learn to write in one day, it takes years to learn the alphabet and learn to write each letter, then words, then sentences, paragraphs, essays, stories, books…
Each year of my life has grown upon the ones that came before it.
And I did struggle.
A lot.
All the time.
And still do.
But I’ve accomplished so much.
Even if I’m not as accomplished as someone else, I’m very accomplished in my own life.
And even if I still have struggles and lessons to learn, that doesn’t take away from what I’ve already accomplished in the past.
It grows upon it.
I’ll never stop trying to grow.
I’ll never stop learning.
And that means struggling, n then standing back up n trying again.
It means practice.
It means experience.
It means knowledge.
It also means intuition.
And following your heart and guidance for the next step.
It means loving yourself through the hard times and celebrating the successes.
It means humble pride.
It means honouring yourself.
It means working through the hard stuff.
Because success does not come without the work it takes to get there.
Even if that ‘work’ is easy, fun n playful (no one said it had to be hard)
Honour your successes.
Honour your full experience of life.
The hard times, and the amazing times.
You deserve it.
If you’d like give it a try.
List the things in your life you’ve accomplished…. n don’t be stingy with your list!
Let it all be celebrated!
