I have a strong gratitude practice.
I love to be so present and grateful and fill my whole being with tiny little miracle moments daily.
A dragonfly landing near by
A beautiful sunset
A horse whinnying in the distance.
Cows grazing out the window
Grass growing in the spring.
Snow quietly falling in the winter
Sunshine beaming down to nourish the flowers, crops, gardens in the summer
Leaves changing colour and the beautiful first frost in the fall.
Miracles are all around us.
Babies smiles.
A hug. A laugh. A heart to heart convo.
Pets, cuddles, and affection.
Even down to the material things.
The homes we live in, the heat to keep us warm, the power to EVERYTHING we own.
Our vehicles to get us where we need to go.
The fuel in the tanks. And the jobs and workers that support all of the above.
Family dinners, holidays and special celebrations
Being there for a loved one in hard times.
I’m thankful for friends, neighbours and community.
I’m thankful for my washing machine, dish washer, fridge, stove and every appliance that humans invented to make life easier.
Including this computer/smart phone so I can be typing this and connecting so easily with you all.
I made a list once, after reading a piece about how important gratitude is… I easily listed over 100 things and didn’t even break a sweat.
I love my life.
I love life itself.
.
.
But you know what I haven’t put on that list yet?
My dreams. My goals and my accomplishments.
The ones I’ve already manifested and lived out. And the ones still to come.
I have not given myself any (serious) credit for all of this amazingness I do get to call life.
Tonight I’m giving myself that credit that is so needed and so deserved.
I have put pictures on a vision board as future goals, and tonight before I drifted off to sleep I took one last look at that board and realized these are not things for the future… I have them now.
This is my life.
I’m living it because I have chose to bring these things into being.
Have other people been there alongside me? Damn right, but they are not only their accomplishments, they are mine too.
I do look back… a lot… at the past, I know how far I’ve come (and I’m proud of that), I know how far I have yet to go.
But tonight I let it fully sink in that even though not all of my dreams have come true yet, I already have everything I want and more. ?
