Well I seem to have a minor problem… I can’t catch my horse. So instantly I referred to my Parelli references, the success series DVD’s and my mastery manuals. So the natural attraction and the concept of building rapport seem to be the keys to my success, and seem to be the first step of being with a horse. Oops maybe I forgot that part?
What they suggest is allowing your horse to catch you, to be attracted to you, and to want to be with you in whatever you have in mind for it to do that day. Sometimes you have to do things to attract it to you. Find out its horsenality and follow its natural and personal needs: motivation, play, safety or comfort. Allow them to trust you, and respect you as their friend and leader.
But the law of attraction is much more than just horses, and isn’t your horse a mirror to your own life? So what is this telling me to change? Its telling me I need a lot more attraction. Not in my looks, horses honestly don’t care what you look like, they aren’t judgmental beings, but in my body. I need to become a person that horses, and other humans, are attracted to.
What is it that attracts people and horses? Trust, confidence, kindness, respect, and leadership. I’m working on that, I’m on a mission to be that person. And I will get there! I will be the person my horses needs me to be! But for now I’ll just stick with the treats and pets and hope she seems appreciation in my efforts, and love in my touch.
