Every year at this time I review the past year and dream/vision/plan into the year ahead, as a lot of people do.
I don’t get too crazy- I don’t like to set New Years resolutions- but I do like to plan and dream about what the upcoming year might look like.
I have a few rituals that keep me tied to my visions …the first is a vision board.
This vision board has been the same board I’ve used for probably the last ten years…. But the photos and words keep changing ever so slightly. If you were to look back at my past boards this one would look nothing the same because each year I do make those slight changes. And that’s because my dreams haven’t really changed but they’ve evolved, grew, flourished into bigger and more expansive dreams.
The second thing I do is set a word for the new year. With an intention to hold that space and teaching for myself over the coming year. The first words I chose were more intentional…. But these days the words seem to find me, and the reason those words fit perfectly into my life slowly unveil themselves throughout the year.
This year marks the beginning of the eleventh year of my soul journey. 10 full years ago I was in such a deep dark place that I had no where to go but up. And the journey found me.
For 10 years I have been doing all of this healing work, growing into my personal practice of it, and stepping into the space of sharing it with others…
I am not the same person that opened that door ten years ago and walked into this unknown space of spiritual growth. I have let so much go since then and stepped into many of the gifts that I am here to share.
My word then for 2022, stepping into the next decade of this crazy ass journey, is OPENNESS.
This is definitely one of the words that chose me… I have no idea what it means to me yet. But this year will be a year to find out.
I’m quite excited to start this new leg of the journey and see where it takes me from here. I still have so many dreams, so many visions, so many plans for what’s still to come that the excitement is overflowing ![]()
