Again, welcome to my new blog. I’m excited to be writing this for you.
It’s been one heck of a weekend. Great fun, but very busy! I am working at selling Partylite and I have my very first show set for Tuesday. I can’t wait for the evening with the girls. There is a new summer catalog out with some great new products and scents. They always have deals and specials for the guests and the hosts, and now that it’s gorgeous outside we can break out the flip flops and margaritas.
I also took in the Lakeland College annual horse sale in Vermilion on Saturday with some of my greatest friends. There was a great selection of horses there. Both for family use and hard working ranch horses. It was a good thing I didn’t have a bidding number or I could have had an empty bank account and a few new horses. It was a great afternoon, and then we went for supper and dancing with more friends which brought me right back to the “good ole days”. I said good bye to them today and we parted back to our lives of work and families.
I bought a trailer this afternoon to be my living quarters for the summer. I will spend the summer working with my dad on the farm. It’s what I live for. The little baby calves and the pasture rides. The fresh smell of hay and the hard work in the fields. I have been dreaming of my new little porch swing sitting under my awning and the late night phone calls as I swing myself to sleep under the stars after a hard days work. Sigh.
