When we got back from visiting family early in January I was beat. The holidays, preparing for them and all that comes with completing the year was a lot for this pregnant momma.

I had big plans to start out the new year. I had a list of to-do’s that filled the page. (And then more)

But I knew I couldn’t do any of them without regenerating my energy first. So I took a time out.

I worked through the emotional and mental experiences I was holding onto…

I rested when I needed.

But you know what else happened? I gracefully started into my to-do list.

No pressure, no deadlines, just inspiration flowing back in to tackle the projects I WANTED to do.

The only thing on my time schedule was work and doctors appointments. The rest of the days were spent resting, playing and dreaming of the future.

My ego mind still says “you have so much to do. Your getting behind”. But I know internally that everything will happen in divine timing.

It’ll all get done. I haven’t lost my motivation to do it, I just needed to step back and rest – not quit.

I’ve worked hard so far and for a lot of these projects I’m nearing the end. I can see the finished projects coming to completion.
This is a great feeling.

I also see the beginning of new projects emerging. As the new year comes upon us, so do the new dreams start to blossom.

And some times it’s just ok to rest in between. It’s more than ok. It’s necessary.

So when things start to get a little too much take time to recoup. Take a step back and allow the inspiration to come back to you. Take time to move through any limiting beliefs or untangle from any egotistic thoughts.

The universe has got this. You’ve already done your part. And sometimes stepping back is the perfect step forward ….?
